I buy broken desktops and laptops. I prefer those with the WINDOWS XP Home, Windows XP Professional, or Windows Media Center license sticker on them, but I will also consider Windows Vista machines. Computers without a Windows license (COA) have little value to me. Look for the little green Microsoft sticker on the case.
Obviously, it doesn't need to work, but the case must be in fair condition and all of the components should be intact. I pay up to $50 cash, but it depends upon the specifications and condition. If your computer is beige, it will have lower value due to its age. Hard drives are wiped clean of information using software that meets the Department of Defense standard. If you have information trapped on your dead computer, I can retrieve it for you and copy to CD or DVD in exchange for the parts. If you feel more secure keeping your hard drive, I will deduct a reasonable amount from the payment and remove it on the spot for you. Please email or call with the make and model.
