Bailey, aka "Little Miss Busy Body", is a tiny girl--but big in spirit. Her build is reminiscent of the French breed of Basset called a Basset Artesien Normand. They are somewhat smaller than the Basset we are used to--lighter in bone, more delicate features. An update from Bailey's foster mom Cindy: At nine years young, Bailey has more spunk than most dogs half her age. She runs with the big dogs at the dog park. Her leash manners have really come along and she enjoys taking long walks. But most of all Bailey loves sitting in my lap watching TV with me. And at just under 40 pounds she's just right for snuggling-- and one of the most affectionate dogs I have ever known. She's a dynamo in the personality department, crate trained, and loves belly rubs. She'd do best in a home without cats and small children. She likes to be alpha with other dogs until they have become a member of her pack, but I think she would also do well as an only child. Bailey loves an active lifestyle.
