Description

Thinking about a Christmas Gift for that hotrodder in your family? You don't know the size of your windshield yet? No problem we offer Gift Certificates so it can be ordered at a later time. We won't charge shipping charges till you order the frame as the go up and down daily.

These windshield frames are custom made to your specs. They are polished aluminum. There are several advantages of aluminum over the chrome stamped steel frames sold elsewhere.
First, since there are countless body manufacturers and various styles/brands of windshield posts, you may need a size different then the “standard” size others offer.
Second, most stamped windshield frames do not allow you to drill and tap your mirrors on, that is why they sell those ugly clamp on mirrors. With our frames you can drill and tap and use an aftermarket mirror designed for motorcycles, leaving you with a HUGE selection to choose from rather then just chrome or brass clamp on.
Third, when those chrome ws frames get rust pits on them, what do you do? With polished aluminum, usually a little aluminum polish and a rag, you are good to go. Even if it gets REALLY bad, you can just remove it and have it polished to new again.
Fourth, glass is a LOT easier to install in our frames. Most others require “glass setting tape” ,or clips, which not only adds costs, but is a real bear to install. With our frames simply use clear silicone inside the channel, slide the glass in, remove the excess silicone and admire your new frame. I have actually received letters from customers and their glass shops loving how easy install is on mine.
Last, simply is COST. With chroming costs through the roof (even though quality is not what it used to be) chrome ws frames cost significantly more.
Now there are some advantages to the chrome ones. You can get them in both round top corners and square top corners, whereas ours are only square top. They also USUALLY have them in stock if you can use their “in stock” sizes.

Here is how they are made. We start with ¾ solid aluminum bar stock. We mill out the glass slot through all of the bars. We then miter cut the bars at 45 degrees. On the top two corners we tig weld the corners then sand down the welds. On the bottom corners we drill and tap the bars so that the bottom bar bolts to the sides from the bottom (so no bolts are seen). One all of that is completed, then we polish the whole frame on the polishing wheels. So, if you have all of that tooling, skill, and time, now you know how to make them, if not, feel free to save this listing, check others prices, then come back and buy.

These windshield frames DO NOT include glass, but any glass shop in your area should be able to cut your glass for you. Typically glass costs us around $40-$45. Since these frames are custom made TO YOUR SPECIFICATIONS, they take up to 1 week to ship from when we receive your cleared payment.

If you need me to drill and tap holes TO YOUR SPECS, I will do so at NO charge. Free is hard to beat at any price.

These can be used on T-buckets up through 1925 and earlier. Or any early roadster where the bottom of the windshield frame sits on a flat cowl.

$200, plus shipping, in raw aluminum for you to paint, polish, powder, brush or just run as is.

$250 polished, plus shipping.
